Acclaimed Irish singer-songwriter Pat Byrne joins Bryan native Brock DeWald for an intimate Sunday afternoon of songs, stories, and conversation at The Kimbell.

On Sunday, September 13 at 6pm, Brock DeWald returns home for another installment of his Hometown Sessions, a listening room series where he invites extraordinary songwriters to share not only their music, but the stories that inspired it. Before performing across Texas, Brock grew up in Bryan, graduated from Bryan High School, attended Texas A&M, and built the roots that continue to shape his songwriting today.

For this edition, Brock welcomes acclaimed Irish singer-songwriter Pat Byrne. After winning the inaugural season of The Voice of Ireland, Pat ultimately traded the major-label path for a life devoted to authentic songwriting. Since relocating from Ireland to Austin, he has become one of the most compelling voices in the Texas Americana scene, blending the poetic storytelling traditions of his homeland with the grit, honesty, and heart of American roots music.

Named one of the Austin American-Statesman's Top 10 Albums of the Year for Into the Light, Byrne has earned praise for his unmistakable voice, cinematic lyrics, and emotionally powerful songwriting.
