Texas songwriting legend Walt Wilkins joins Bryan native Brock DeWald for an intimate Sunday afternoon of songs, stories, and conversation at The Kimbell.

On August 2, Brock DeWald comes home to kick off his Hometown Sessions, a series of listening room style shows where he hosts talented songwriters. Before he was performing across Texas, Brock DeWald was a kid growing up in Bryan, attending Bryan High School, graduating from Texas A&M, and building the roots that continue to inspire his songwriting today.

For his first guest, Brock welcomes Texas’s own “songwriter’s songwriter,” Walt Wilkins, to the newly renovated Kimbell building in downtown Bryan. Through his writing, performance, and production, Walt’s influence on the Texas Country and Folk Americana songwriting scene is undeniable. Walt joins the show on the heels of a year where he released two full studio albums, continuing to leave an indelible mark as one of the most timeless Texas and Americana artists.
